TOPIC- RAZA RABBANI NOMINATION FOR CHAIRMAN SENATE

MIR HASIL BEZENJO OF NP said that whenever something wrong is done Raza Rabbani protested against it even if it is his own party. He said that Raza Rabbani always tries to follow the principles.
He said that the bribery for the votes of senate is going on since 1985 in Balochistan. He said that with the passage of time the rate for the vote of senate has gone up from two to five billion rupees.
He said that the local body elections should be held to correct the system and let the institutions flourish.
NISAR KHORRO OF PPPP said that the nomination of Raza Rabbani for the chairman of senate by all political parties shows the dominance of the parliament. He said that only politicians can fix the problem of bribes offered during the election of senate. He said that the remnants of Musharaf nondemocratic steps are still affecting.
He said that PPPP tried to hold local body elections during their government but SC did not let it happen.
RANA SANA ULLAH OF PML-N said that it was not difficult for PML-N to nominate Raza Rabbani for chairman senate as much for Asif Ali Zardari. He said that if Rehman Malik or Farooq Naik would have nominated for the chairman of senate it was going to be difficult for PML-N to support them.
He said that the politicians will learn as the time goes by and it will strengthen the democracy.
He said that taking a candidate from small province could have compromised the unity of the nation against terrorism.
He said that PML-N tried to hold local body elections in 2013 but High court gave its verdict against it.
CH AJAZ OF PTI said that Raza Rabbani is a noncontroversial personality but it is impossible that PML-N and PPPP do not have any hidden agenda behind supporting him. He said that PTI point of view is that from councilor to chairman senate every election should be transparent.
He said that PTI could not hold local body elections in KPK because it was busy in legislation for the system.
